ROCK N’ ROLL REBORN

Standby Records introduces “Rock N’ Roll 2.0”

CLEVELAND, OH – Cleveland-based independent record label, Standby Records, has hit the ground running to kick off 2012. With releases in the pipeline for emerging acts like Hopes Die Last, Modern Day Escape and Freshman 15, as well as a newly designed website: http://www.standbyrecords.net, the DIY label run by owner, Neil Sheehan, is ready to welcome the evolution of rock music, “Rock N’ Roll 2.0.” Commented Sheehan, “The first decade of the 21st Century was a time when rock music seemingly stood still. It didn’t progress and it didn’t grow. At Standby Records, we decided to give Rock N’ Roll a full reboot to restore the passion and power that people used to feel when they heard a great song! Rock N’ Roll 2.0 – the rebirth of the anarchy lost for the last decade.”   The initial 10 years of the 2000s will be known as the decade of lost Rock N’ Roll, where nothing more than homogenized clones of previously successful ideas came and went without leaving much of an indelible mark on the youth, the more mature, or on society as a whole. The time though has come for a rebirth, and Standby Records is ready to act as the proud birthplace of “Rock N’ Roll 2.0.” A new age of youth has emerged, and like its parents who exhibited their rebellious nature through music, this new breed has developed its own sound, look and attitude. Standby Records is there not only to embrace it, but to spread it to the masses.  The ‘Second Coming Of Rock N’ Roll’ is officially upon us!  Formed in 2007, Standby Records has made its name developing passionate, young artists by providing unparalleled enthusiasm and a DIY attitude.  High profile acts like Black Veil Brides and Modern Day Escape call Standby home, while budding superstars like Hopes Die Last, Freshman 15 and more look to add to Standby’s already impressive catalogue.  Stay tuned to the all-new StandbyRecords.net and the Standby Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/standbyrecords for the latest Standby news.
